"ARE YOU READY? - "TO SPEND TIME WITH CREATOR AND KING?" ~ Shavuot / Pentecost is the anniversary of the giving of the Torah on Mt.Sinai and the Baptising of the Holy Spirit from the Father & Son! This is how we spend time with the King and draw closer to understanding to His word! ~ Passover and Unleavened Bread in 2016' was postponed for 1 month because the Abib/Aviv Barley wasn't ready yet for harvest during the first New Moon after the Spring Equinox! Some people did find some Barley in Abib/Aviv but many in Israel did not! So an extra month, Adar 2 was added. ~ As a result of this Postponement Shavuot is also later than usual being that it is pegged from those Holy Days and counted 50 days from the morrow of the Wave Sheaf Offering! "The High Sabbath of Shavuot will be Sunday June 12th, (Sivan 6) 2016' (A Day begins the night before in scripture) So, Saturday 11th at Sundown begins 'Shavuot' til Sunday Sundown! Hope this is not confusing to anyone! ~ Avoid the Traditions by reading the Text; “SHAVU’OT” - PENTECOST - (IS A HIGH SABBATH) LEVITICUS 23:15-16 - And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete: Even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbaths shall ye number fifty days! LEVITICUS 23:21 - And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an Holy Convocation unto you: ye shall do No Servile Work therein: it shall be a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations! ~ The fifty-day count of Pentecost crosses two ends of the month! The day of the month for Pentecost depends on the number of days in those months! In Yahuah's Sacred Calendar the number of days in a month is not fixed as it is in the popular Jewish calendar, which is based on a fixed formula. ~ While the usual monthly progression is an alternation of 29 days and 30 days, this is not always the case. When the moon is moving faster at perigee there can be three months in a row with 29 days. When the moon is moving slower at apogee there can be two months in a row with 30 days. ~ IMORTANT NOTE: Don't be confused by the Orthodox Jewish Tradition of Men of Observing two days for Shavuot! The Text is clear Shavuot is a one day High Sabbath! ~ As mentioned previously, words have specific associations and need to be chosen carefully for maximum understanding! The correct motivation for keeping the Feasts is to follow in Obedience to Yahuah's Law!
